Rigorous, Cross-Disciplinary Dialogue, applied first to the Science of Consciousness.
As an initiatory demonstration of the power of Dialogue for Science, the Center is applying a Dialogical process to the Science of Consciousness, engaging physics, neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy in a rigorous conversation.
Civil society is under tremendous pressure. The factions involved tend to blame one another. Yet each probably sees something the others miss.
As one of the involved factions, Science has a tremendous responsibility, and a tremendous opportunity. It can apply its standards of pristine logic and experimental verification to itself.
Such a meta-scientific self-examination must lead to a new version of Science. This reinvention would then be capable of productive, empowered, engagement with other worldviews.
This journey is the Mission of The Center for Dialogue in Science.
